Drone Hunt uses the open source Skybrush Server GCS architecture with a custom server extension dedicated to the application with real-time adaptive swarm motion and light control based on the input from the virtual guns. The solid asynchronous structure of Skybrush Server makes it quite easy to develop similar extensions for any custom swarming application.
